Last May, Caroline and Camille – respectively Business Developer and Reputation Advisor at Insticom – had the opportunity to go to Budapest and be part of the annual Worldcom Youth Meeting, organized by our colleagues from Probakö. During these two days, conferences were held about the role of influencers in modern communication, and young Worldcom employees from all over Europe were able to meet, exchange insights and work together.
On the first day, three lectures were given by communication experts from Hungary. The first speaker was Ferenc Pécsi – Head of Content and founder of ContentPlus agency – who gave us valuable advice and shared his thoughts on the often-difficult question of how to use influencers in B2B marketing. After the lunch break, we listened carefully to the relevant advice of two young Hungarian influencers, Sára Raboczki and Győzo Galcsik. They enlightened us on the best techniques for getting the attention of adolescents and how to efficiently plan campaigns that are aimed at them. Lastly, the Dean of the Budapest Metropolitan University of Applied Sciences shared his exhaustive knowledge on an international communication issue, called country branding, or how the nations of the world are trying to influence their reputation abroad. Additionally, the participants received a practical case that needed to be solved in teams in the timespan of 24 hours, for which the writing of a complete strategy mixing press relations and event planning was required.
On the second day, each team presented their solution of the case study to the others, as well as a real case study from their respective agencies. In this regard, everyone was able to exchange techniques, advice and ideas to take home. We want to congratulate one person in particular – Martin Hlousek from Prague – for his dynamic, funny and relevant presentation! The meeting then ended in the afternoon, and everyone left with a larger network, in-depth knowledge about influencers and their role in communication and a pleasant feeling of belonging to a global community of young communicators. Camille and Caroline particularly appreciated the opportunity to interact with their counterparts from all over Europe. They also took the opportunity to visit this beautiful city and bond.
Thank you Worldcom, thank you Probakö, and see you next year!
